Vegan Candy Coated Cake



Enjoy the sweetness of this vegan cake covered in candy. It's great for any event or when you just want something sweet. There are colorful vegan candy-coated chocolates and sprinkles on top of the moist, chocolatey cake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk such as almond or soy milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup vegan candy-coated chocolates such as vegan M&M's
  • 1/4 cup vegan sprinkles

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Grease and flour a cake pan

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt

Add the non-dairy milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar to the dry ingredients

Mix until well combined

Fold in half of the vegan candy-coated chocolates and half of the vegan sprinkles into the batter

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula

Sprinkle the remaining vegan candy-coated chocolates and sprinkles evenly over the top of the batter

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, slice and serve
